Epic Stunts, Four Iconic Films, A Celebration of Asian Action Cinema

BRENT, U.K. - Sept. 22, 2024 - PRLog -- FILMSCOPE CIC is thrilled to announce the launch of the highly anticipated RE:ACTION! SEASON, a special film season celebrating the history and artistry of Asian Action Cinema. The event will run from 9th October to 30th October 2024, at the Kiln Cinema, inviting audiences to experience some of the most iconic films that have shaped the genre. This unique event, which is part of the national BFI Film Audience Network season Art of Action, highlights the groundbreaking influence of martial arts in cinema, whilst celebrating stunt performers and the artistry behind their craft.

The event will feature D/deaf-friendly screenings of Sister Street Fighter and Rumble in the Bronx, ensuring that the magic of martial arts cinema is accessible to all. Audiences will be able to dive deeper into the art of stunt performance through BSL-interpreted Q&A sessions with experts like author and martial arts specialist Mike Fury, Jude Poyner and more to be announced soon.
