ACAIF Funds Kakuma Refugees' Acyberschool Cybersecurity Scholarship

NAIROBI, Kenya - Oct. 9, 2024 - PRLog -- The Africa Cybersecurity and AI Foundation (ACAIF), in partnership with Global Innovation Valley (GIV), is proud to announce the launch of 100 full scholarships for the Acyberschool Secure+ Certification Program, a comprehensive four-month  training designed to equip refugees with practical, job-ready cybersecurity skills In Kakuma refugee Camp.

Building a New Economic Future for Refugees

ACAIF's scholarship initiative represents a strategic move to shift the economic trajectory of refugees across Kenya. By providing access to in-demand cybersecurity skills, ACAIF is creating real opportunities for refugees to secure meaningful employment and achieve financial independence in today's rapidly evolving digital economy. This initiative provides tangible solution to poverty alleviation and digital inclusion in partnerships with GIV who's mission is to equip refugees with the skills needed to thrive in today's digital economy.

These scholarships fall under ACAIF's ambitious TechForJobs Fund, which is dedicated to funding programs that create job opportunities for Generation Z across Africa in critical sectors such as cybersecurity, data protection, and AI. The Acyberschool Secure+ Certification Program is a key pillar of this effort with job-readiness and placements embedded in it.
