SAAFE Happy Hour Event: "How to Write Culturally Specific Grants" Breaks Attendance Records

 
WASHINGTON - Nov. 21, 2024 - PRLog -- The SAAFE Happy Hour Event, How to Write Culturally Specific Grants for Organizations Serving Black Women and Women of Color, has officially become the most-attended and highly-registered event in SAAFE's history. The highly anticipated session, held on November 20, 2024, welcomed a remarkable audience eager to learn from guest speaker Alana C. Brown, Esq., founder of A Cultured Business.

This impactful event addressed critical strategies for crafting grant proposals tailored to uplift Black women and communities of color. Ms. Brown shared invaluable insights drawn from her extensive experience advocating for Black women survivors of domestic and sexual violence, offering practical tools and actionable advice that resonated deeply with attendees.

The event also earned glowing feedback from participants, with one attendee sharing:

In addition to the enthusiastic turnout on the day of the event, the session's details reached over 600 members of SAAFE (Strategic Alliance of African American Female Entrepreneurs and Professionals). This milestone highlights the growing impact of SAAFE as a hub for connection, growth, and empowerment among Black women in the DMV area and beyond.

The event was graciously hosted by Coach Angela Johnson, Founder of Sound Mind Wellness Center,  who brought energy and insight to the discussion, further enhancing the experience for all attendees.
