Follow on Google News | Sensor Specialist joins the UK-based team of Charcroft Field EngineersSpecialist in sensors, load cells and strain gauges for force measurement
Matt Fellows will deliver design solutions for customers using sensors, load cells and strain gauges for force measurement in industrial, aerospace, defence, oil and gas, process manufacturing, and off-road transport applications. The sensors, load cells and strain gauges are used to measure pressure, force, position, current and voltage, as well as temperature, speed, liquid level, liquid flow, weight and tilt or incline. Manufactured by leading names on the franchised linecard, there are standard and custom sensors from BEI Sensors at Sensata, BI Technologies from TT Electronics, The Fredericks Company and VPG Force Sensors. Based in the East Midlands, Matt Fellows spent 9 years in the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Engineering Technician, gaining experience in hands-on technical roles, before taking of the role of Test Engineer, and then Applications Engineer. A passion for helping customers to achieve individual solutions led Matt Fellows to a role in sales, with a focus on sensors, load cells and force management. "I have seen the issues which can affect sensor-based systems, and this is vital for finding a solution for each design," says Matt Fellows. "Years of experience as an engineer have given me a deep understanding of how sensors react in tough applications and how selection and design can help customers to avoid these issues." When not at work, Matt Fellows thrives on adventure, spending time tackling trails in the Peak District and hiking with his family and Labrador puppy. www.charcroft.com End
