The Imposters: Multi award-winning indie thriller now available to watch on US streaming services

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 24, 2025 - PRLog -- Marie Everett (What Happened To Monday, Star Wars: Origins) leads an all-female, transatlantic cast alongside Chynna Walker (My Dinner with Werner), Amanda Michaud (Panic 9-1-1), Tegan Mordt (No More Lonely People) and Julia Haworth (Silent Witness, The Crown).

The film follows Maya (Everett) who meets the enigmatic Hattie (Walker) following a split from her long-term girlfriend Anna (Mordt). The pair take a trip to Spain where things quickly unravel and Maya realises that all is not as it seems and Hattie is not being entirely truthful.

The Imposters is an independently-produced production from Porcelain Film, written and Directed by Nicholas Winter (War Blade, 2024), filmed on location in London, Chester and Spain.

Featuring an original soundtrack by Melissa Guerison, sound design by Charlie Braham and mixing by Andrew Swallow, the film has picked up 23 award wins to date, including Best LGBT Feature Film, Best Lead Actress, and Best Supporting Actress at the 2023 Five Continents International Film Festival.

Film Threat's Bobby LePire gave the film a solid 9/10, calling it "a thriller that toys with the truth in fun ways" and "a masterclass in creating a noirish thriller atmosphere."

Chris Jones of Overly Honest Reviews said "The Imposters dives into the tangled threads of deception and identity with an adept blend of noir and psychological thrills that keeps the narrative crisp and unique from start to finish."
