Sept. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA - The NFL Alumni Association Atlanta Chapter sadly announces that Youth United For Prosperity (YUP) a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation will no longer be working with the Atlanta Chapter  as a benefactor.

Dr. Joseph Profit, President of the NFL Alumni Atlanta Chapter said that “the NFL Alumni Atlanta Chapter truly enjoyed a great relationship with YUP.  Their programs that support our young people and mentor them are sorely needed in all parts of the country.  Unfortunately, I got a call from Mario D’Andre Robinson, the executive Director of YUP and he informed me that his board of directors has updated their goals and vision and are looking to other organizations for support. They have voted to withdraw as a benefactor of NFL Alumni Atlanta Chapter to accommodate other interested organizations.”  The NFL Alumni Atlanta Chapter will continue with our other benefactors, causes and partners which include; Cystic Fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, and we will continue to work with Pro Players& Entertainers and the Legends & Kids™ program. The NFL Alumni Association is a group of retired non paid NFL players that contribute their names, and their time to raise funds for various charitable causes.  They do this through appearances, participation in special events, golf tournaments and many other activities.
