Oct. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- A new ComScore-Starcom study may cause marketers to rethink their approach – only 16 percent of Internet users are clicking on display advertisements. That represents a 50 percent decrease in 24 months.

In response, Seattle Biz Coach Terry Corbell provides several solutions to the stunning news.

He also writes there are two obvious red flags at http://www.bizcoachinfo.com in his column entitled, “Stunning Results from Internet-Ad Study Calls for Innovation.”

The red flags include:

1. The click-through model is becoming increasingly undesirable.
2. Advertisers who depend too-heavily on Internet advertising are not likely to get their desired returns on investments.

“What’s worse about the rock-bottom click-through rates, only eight percent of Internet users account for 85 percent of the ad-clicking,” says Mr. Corbell. “That follows disappointing news from a study that was released in 2008. It revealed lower-income young adults account for 50 percent of all the click-throughs.”

Mr. Corbell concludes his column with five marketing suggestions, how to source Internet advertising, and how to evaluate your Web site effectiveness and its promotion.

As a business-performance consultant and a profit professional, Mr. Corbell also has systems and strategies to relieve a company's financial stress, which includes a financial turnaround program on a pay-for-performance basis.

Mr. Corbell provides complete solutions for a small retainer and one percent of the net-profit increase.

“To save clients time, I don’t necessarily have to look at firms’ books to see if they’re profitable,” says Mr. Corbell. “Usually, all is required is to watch the interactions of people before, during and after staff meetings. The body language, level of politeness, enthusiasm and the degree of employee participation in staff meetings often illustrate how profitable companies are.”

The Biz Coach says that’s important because highly motivated employees will drive brand equity. Employees with healthy self-esteem and morale will be collaborative. They’ll deliver strong performances and will be more enthusiastic with your customers.

Mr. Corbell has written 450+ business-coaching columns since 2001 for several media Web sites. He is a member of Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW).

The Biz Coach Web site was recently developed by Solid Technology, www.solidtechnology.com, of Portland.

Mr. Corbell is managing member of CMS Associates LLC, http://www.cmsassociatesllc.com.

The Biz Coach was honored when The New York Times featured him twice. For some of his other business tips, simply enter the following headlines as key words:
