Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx To Light Ayrsley Community Christmas Tree 7 Pm Saturday

Dec. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- The Town of Ayrsley will be hosting its first ever Winter Weekend Wonderland event this Saturday, December 12, 2009.  The participating businesses will be holding open houses as well as sponsoring a children’s toy drive from 5 – 9 PM; free horse and carriage rides will be offered from 6-9  and the community Christmas Tree will be lit by newly elected Charlotte Mayor, Anthony Foxx and his wife Samara at 7PM.

On December 13, 2009 the Steele Creek YMCA will be hosting their annual Celebrate with Santa from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Attendees will enjoy lunch, crafts and a picture with Santa.

Tickets are required for YMCA event; the cost for Adult YMCA members is $5, for non member adults the cost is $ 7. For children, the member cost is $3, non member cost is $5. Admission for children under 2 years of age is free with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased at the Steele Creek YMCA, located in Ayrsley.
