March 22, 2010 - PRLog -- On Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:30 pm Project Equilibria will host its first student and parent workshops titled “Math and Science: What’s the Big Deal?” These workshops will explore the importance of math and science in our everyday lives as well as careers in these fields. We will also discuss the importance of our children excelling in these subject areas. These concurrent workshops, one for students and one for parents, will take place at the Omega House at 1448 14th Street in Oakland.

“Math and Science are hot topics of discussion these days” says CEO Dr. Saphronia R. Johnson. “Families need to know how to start dinner table discussions on why these subject areas and careers in these fields are so important.  Having math and science conversations will allow the students to feel comfortable excelling in their studies.”

The registration fee for the parental workshop is $25 and parents can register downloading the registration form on the parent phase page of our website. The registration fee for the student workshop is $15 and students can download the registration form on the student phase of our website.  The registration fees for each workshop can be paid online and the registration form can be emailed to us at info@projectequilibria.com or mailed to us at P.O. Box 30441, Oakland, CA 94604.  On site registration is available and begins at 6:00pm.  Registration fees include all materials and refreshments.
