Nh Roller Derby Takes On Pioneer Valley In Second Home Bout

May 16, 2010 - PRLog -- The women of New Hampshire Roller Derby return to the JFK Coliseum on Saturday, May 22nd to take on Pioneer Valley Roller Derby’s Western Mass Destruction.
NHRD’s Skate Free or Die! All-Stars are coming off an 80-56 win against Central New York Roller Derby’s Utica Clubbers which brought them to 2-1 for the 2010 season. DJ Adam Furious of Rock 101 and the Boston Derby Dames’ Pelvis Costello will be announcing. Local band Chemical Distance will be playing halftime.
Two Granite State charities will be featured in May. The Animal Rescue League of NH will be raffling off cat and dog themed gift baskets and donations for the group are being accepted at the door. NHRD will also be accepting food donations to benefit the NH Food Bank. Fans who bring a non-perishable food item to the bout will receive $1 off their admission at the door.

The City Sports Grille on Maple Street will play host to the league after-party immediately following the bout. Attendees receive 10% off their food order with their ticket stub from the evening’s bout.
Tickets are $8 in advance via the NHRD website (nhrollerderby.com), or $10 at the door. Children 10 and under are free. Doors open at 5pm and derby begins at 6pm. Concessions are available and the beer garden is open to fans 21 and over. Parking is free at JFK Coliseum on 303 Beech St. Fans should use the main Maple Street entrance.
