Steam Cleaning:  The steam cleaning process uses high pressure that forces soapy water deep in your carpet and pads and then attempts to suck up as much of the water back as it can.

Chem-Dry Carpet Tech:  This process uses the Powerhead Method which conducts a high suction low moisture procedure with a patented rotary extraction tool.  The Powerhead has extraordinary suction power that removes water and dirt with cleaning jets that move over 600 passes per minute.  The Powerhead uses a Hot Carbonating Extraction which lifts dirt to the surface where it is whisked away.

Dry Time
Steam Cleaning: With the excessive water used in the steam cleaning method, carpets are likely to dry in a few days.  Having the carpet stay wet for this long arises many other concerns such as mold or bacteria forming underneath the carpet.

Chem-Dry Carpet Tech:  Chem-Dry's Hot Carbonated Extraction system provides a deep down clean, extracting dirt from the carpet fibers without overloading the carpet with water allowing carpets to dry in 1 to 2 hours.

Residue
Steam Cleaning:  This process involves an oversaturation of water, soaps, shampoos, and high acidic cleaners leaving behind a sticky residue.  The sticky residue that is left behind is a magnet for soil, which speeds up the resoiling process.

Chem-Dry Carpet Tech:  Chem-Dry’s patented mineral solution leave absolutely no dirt attracting residue so carpets stay cleaner longer.

Eco Friendly
Steam Cleaning:  Most steam cleaners use harsh chemicals that can be harmful to you and the environment.  They use enzymes and phosphates that can cause allergic reactions and high pH cleaners that damage the fibers attracting more soil, and also immediately brakes down the carpet protectant leaving your carpet exposed to new stains.

Chem-Dry Carpet Tech:  Uses a patented mostly all natural hot carbonated mineral solution that is 100% hypoallergenic and uses no enzymes or phosphates so it is safe for children pets and anyone with allergies and also uses a minimal amount of water.  Chem-Dry Carpet Tech has simplified the carpet cleaning process to make you and the environment delighted with the results.
