Mr. Vilas Karandikar appointed as Director Phadnis Infrastructure India Ltd

Aug. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Pune: Phadnis Group has appointed Mr. Vilas. S Karandikar Director, Phadnis Infrastructure India Ltd.  Mr.Vilas Karandikar joins Phadnis Group at a time when the company is focusing on Infrastructure Projects of Roads Bridges and Building.

Mr.Vilas Karandikar stood 1st in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. Civil) from College of Engineering Karad. He shall be incharge of identifying suitable partners for Infrastructure projects across all locations at Phadnis Group.

Talking about the appointment Mr. Vinay Phadnis, CMD Phadnis Group said, “We welcome Mr. Vilas .S Karandikar in our family of Phadnis Group. We are fortunate to have such an experienced person in our team. He would be responsible for Phadnis Group’s expansion plans in Infrastructure division. He would also be responsible in management of Joint Venture agreements. He can guide the team on technical matter of Joint Venture and execution of work.”

He has worked with many government and semi government organization in past. He also worked as Chief engineer in Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). He also held top rank in Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

In his career span of 40 years he has carried out works on roads and bridges worth about 200 crores in MSRDC. He was also associated with works of Bandra Worli Sea Link project, Worli Nariman point sea link project, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Project, 4 – laning satara Kagal highway, Nagpur ring road and maintenance of Mumbai Pune Expressway.

He has also worked as advisor on projects like Dharavi Redevelopment Projects under slum rehabilitation authority. He is also working as vice president M.M Project consultants Pvt Ltd, Mumbai on slum redevelopment projects in Mumbai, Nagpur, Thane, Raipur etc.
Mr. Karandikar has bagged various awards like Distinguished Eminent Engineer Award by Institution of Engineers Pune in 2007. He was also awarded “Prerna Puraskar” in 2009 for exemplary contribution to the field of civil engineering.
