Dec. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Denia is steeped in history and dates back to Greek and Roman times & has always been popular because of its location and excellent Mediterranean climate. The World Health Organisation classifies Denia's annual climate as one of the world's best with about 300 days of sun & 2800 hours of sunshine each year which equates to around 9 hours a day of beautiful blue skies, warm days and golden sunsets.
Denia also enjoys a micro climate due to its position on the tip of the Costa Blanca coast which provides ideal characteristics for year-round living. This micro climate ensures clear sunny days with fresh a sea air breeze which provides a pleasant cooling effect on those hot sunny summer days.
There are typical historical Christian and Pagan festivals that are held throughout the year which provide fantastic crowd-gathering opportunities such as Las Fallas, Los Tres Reys (the Three Kings) and my personal favourite Los Moros y Cristianos (Moors & Christians). All of these Fiestas are enjoyed by vast crowds of residents and visitors who flock to Denia to enjoy the ceremonies and then go for a glass of Rioja and some food.  
And there are some wonderful restaurants (including Quique Dacosta’s Michelin-starred dining experience, the nearby beach-front Soqueta and the sea-fronted Los Remos), authentic Paella & Tapas bars, eclectic Beach bars and a modern Marina with dining overlooking the luxurious yachts and cruisers.
Denia is well-served by major international airlines and is ideally situated being equidistant from Alicante and Valencia and linked to both by an excellent Motorway system.
