Follow on Google News | Chinese New Year 2011 at Scottsdale Ling and Louie’s Asian Bar and GrillThree-Day Festival From Feb. 3-5 Will Feature Special Menus, Giveaways and Even Free Dinner!
That’s just part of what’s in store at Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill during its Chinese New Year Celebration, to be held from February 3-5 at the popular restaurant’s Scottsdale location (9397 E. Shea Boulevard). Ling & Louie’s will be ringing in The Year of the Rabbit by decking out the restaurant with Chinese New Year staples, including gongs, paper lanterns, dragons and a healthy serving of the color red, which is traditional for the occasion. And to thank its guests for their support and spread good fortune for the year to come, guests who order off the special Chinese New Year menu will be able to enjoy the tradition of banging a Chinese gong and then picking a red envelope from a beautiful Chinese bureau, with a prize inside each envelope. The prizes will include treats and fun stuff for kids, free appetizers and entrees...and even having Ling & Louie’s pick up the tab for the meal. The Chinese New Year celebration will also include: • Ling & Louie’s Chinese New Year menu is a “Feast of Fortune,” including delicious starters, scrumptious entrees and tasty deserts — all for $22 per person or $88 for a table of four. • A special “Lucky Libations” menu to accompany the great food, including the “Mandarin Inferno” (Stoli Ohranj Vodka, Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, and fresh orange juice shaken with a Thai chili) and specials on Chinese beer. All told, the Chinese New Year Celebration at Ling & Louie’s promises to be one of the most unique culinary events of the year — as well as a lot of fun for everyone involved. “At Ling & Louie’s, we like to say that we’re where modern Asian meets American hospitality, so we’re not the most traditional of Chinese restaurants,” The Chinese New Year Celebration will take place during lunch and dinner hours from Thursday, February 3 through Saturday, February 5 at the Scottsdale location. Ling & Louie’s location in the Wild Horse Pass Casino on the Gila River Indian Community will also be celebrating Chinese New Year. “Ling and Louie themselves wanted to create an experience for Chinese New Year that honors tradition yet makes for a fun experience for everyone involved,” Banquil said. “We hope to see as many of our great guests as possible come down and enjoy our special menu and take a shot at the gong and red envelope.” Ling & Louie’s offers a casual dining experience where Modern Asian meets American Comfort and a menu that is thrilling, filling, with minimal billing™. All menu items are made with quality, fresh ingredients and prepared in-house. In addition to dining in, Ling & Louie’s also offers take-out, catering and a full bar featuring beer, wine, sake and specialty drinks like the “Frozen Thai Mai” and “Ling’s Ginger-Lime Margarita.” Daily specials are featured on chalk boards throughout the restaurant.
