More than 20 varsity and junior varsity recently competed at the district meet with the following athletes placing in the top four making them eligible for this week's regionals: Colin Price – High Jump - 4th Place Sawyer Martin – Long Jump – 3rd Place Sawyer Martin – Triple Jump – 4th Place Aaron Grogan – Discus – 2nd (*NEW SCHOOL RECORD) Aaron Grogan – Shot Put – 4th Place Alden White – Pole Vault – 4th Place Alison Reimschussel – Shot Put – 2nd Place Mat Price (4x100, 4x200) LeAndrew Gordon (4x100, 4x200) Jonathan Venable (4x100, 4x200) Job Oderoh (4x100, 4x200) Sawyer Martin (4x100, 4x200) John Paul Humphrey (4x100, 4x200) Congratulations to Aaron Grogan, who set the school record in Discus and Sawyer Martin, who qualified in five events, the maximum number allowed for an athlete. The district results follow up outstanding efforts from middle school and high school athletes at recent meets including: - 8th grader Blake Arlington who set a new middle school record with a 5’10” high jump at the All Saint’s Meet - Senior Aaron Grogan who set a new school record in the Discus with a throw of 140’ 3”. A throw that goes down as one of the top in the state. “The Pantego track team has had another great year," said Jerry Hawkes, Head Track Coach at PCA. "Our boys consistently place in the top three of the team standings at each of the meets we have been in. Our girls have placed first in the team standings once this year.
