April 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The very things that you would normally see discarded as trash, have been transformed into trash receptacles.  Greg Pitts has created art so that those who are participating in the Beach Clean-Up will have a disposal for refuse made out of objects that in and of themselves, would be considered trash.

Trash bags will be passed out to beach-goers along the beach on the day of the event, encouraging them to dispose of their trash responsibly.

When asked what inspired him to participate in the Art Miami TV event, Greg Pitts responded,  "I could not think of a better way to have my art make an impact. By using old tires, which are normally discarded into landfills, and making them into receptacles for the trash and recycled items for the people on the beach, it encourages the public to re-train their thinking, to actively decide to make a difference in the pollution problem.  I feel that I am contributing to saving the planet, one step and one day at a time."

The event takes place on Saturday April 30, 2011 on South Beach Miami between 1st and 21st Streets between noon and 6:00 p.m.
