May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- games-ed (http://www.games-ed.co.uk) blog is dedicated to promoting and sharing thoughts on games based learning and can be found at http://www.games-based-learning.com. The company has been writing the blog for a few months (as a beta exercise) and now feels that there is enough content to go live.

The blog considers all aspects of games based learning from theory, through design, to delivery of games based learning in educational settings.

The blog, in the main, is the thoughts of Paul Ladley who is the managing director of pixelfountain (http://www.pixelfountain.co.uk) the company behind the games-ED brand. Paul said, "It is a bit weird to be writing my thoughts on games based learning for everyone to read and comment on. You think, 'what have I got to say that is worthwhile?' But, I have been developing learning simulations and games for 13 years and been in the training industry for a further 10; so I must know a few things worth sharing. I guess we will see."

Recent posts include: "Six Key Principles of Collaboration Games Based Learning"; "The Art of Conversation", which considered the fact that games can generate conversations and shouldn't be pigeon holed as the realm of solitary non-communicative gamers; and "Boys will be Boys", which looked at the issue of games and gender and whether they could be used to improve attainment in boys.

The blog also considers the latest news on games based learning and shares the experience of games-ED in developing and delivering  products in education establishments in the UK.
