SD Flash Soccer Club of San Diego announces Real Madrid - Chivas Day for Final Regular Season Match

June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- At 3pm on Sunday, July 3, 2011, the SD Flash Soccer Club (8 - 3 - 1) will host Hollywood United (10 - 0 - 1) at Westview HS in San Diego, California.

On the field:
When the National Premier Soccer League schedule was made back in March of this year, it may have been a long-shot to think this final match of the season would have so much importance.

Early in the season, these two clubs met in Week 2. On the field, the SD Flash won at Hollywood United with a dominant 3 - 1 come from behind victory. The Flash would go on to remain undefeated with a perfect 6 - 0 mark.

However, during preparation for the Week 7 match vs defending NPSL Champions; Sacramento Gold, it was learned that the Flash had used an ineligible player on the field for 2 matches. The Flash was forced to forfeit 2 games. One of those forfeits was against Hollywood United.

Sunday will be the rematch.

Bonus for the fans:
Besides the opportunity to watch the biggest game of the season for both teams, soccer fans in attendence will have a chance to get prizes from the SD Flash; who has become an Official Partner of World Football Challenge 2011!

The World Football Challenge will host two of the biggest clubs in professional soccer; Real Madrid and Chivas Guadalajara on July 20, 2011 at Qualcomm Stadium.
