Jim Klever to join the National Mill Dog Rescue as Director of Organizational Development

NMDR is pleased to announce that Jim Klever will serve in a volunteer position while leading an organizational-wide effort to increase the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of NMDR.

July 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Mr. Klever retired in 2003 after a 40-year career with the YMCA.  In 1976 he became the CEO of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and served in the capacity until 1992.  In 1992 he joined the staff of the YMCA of the USA serving as the Management Resource Center Director in Denver, Colorado, providing services to YMCA's in the Rocky Mountain Region.  In 2000, he became a Leadership Development Consultant for the YMCA of the USA working with YMCAs throughout the west and mid-west on board development, volunteer and staff training and development, program planning, and strategic planning.  He has been a trainer for YMCA courses in Strategic Planning, Program Planning, Volunteer Management, and multiple other leadership courses.  

Mr. Klever is graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Education Degree.  He went on to receive his Master of Physical Education degree from Indiana University.

Mr. Klever's lifelong affection for our canine companions has led him to serve as a regular volunteer with NMDR and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Disaster Response Team.

NMDR is very fortunate and delighted to announce this appointment.

To rescue, rehabilitate and re-home discarded breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry. They are a non- profit organization and have rescued over 5,000 dogs to date.
