MDH Bags 2011 AHMA Excellence Award

Nov. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- By empowering a local community with knowledge in community health delivery and planning, Manila Doctors Hospital has yet again been chosen to bring home one of the most prestigious titles of the year – The 2011 Excellence Award by the Asian Hospital Management Awards (AHMA). With their entry dubbed “Capacity Building in Community Health Delivery and Planning: The Culminating Year of a Three-Year Comprehensive Community Health Program for Barangay 737, San Andres, Malate, Manila”, the first Accreditation Canada International (ACI) accredited hospital in Asia helped improve Barangay 737’s self-reliance and instilled within the residents the spirit of volunteerism, an achievement deemed by the Asian Hospital Management Committee and the conference partners of the Hospital Management Asia 2011 worthy of such an award. Present during the awarding ceremony is Dr. Elmer M. Angus of Manila Doctors Hospital (center). MDH has been awarded five AHMAs since 2008. MDH’s entry was chosen as an Excellence Awardee among 315 entries submitted by 84 hospitals in 11 countries.
