Ayrsley Kicks off 2011 Toys for Tots Drive

Nov. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- The Town of Ayrsley’s Annual Toys for Tots toy drive kicks off today after a highly successful year in 2010 where 917 toys were donated in just three weeks.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming support we’ve received so far from the businesses here in Ayrsley as well as those associated with Ayrsley residents,” said drive coordinator Christopher Stulginsky and owner of Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation.

Corporate commitments have already been pledged from Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation, Concorde Construction, DeVry University, Fintastic, Hilton Garden Inn, Mac’s Speed Shop, New Forum, National Recovery Solutions, Scott Jaguar, Usurance Brokerage, and Wild Wing Café-Ayrsley.

Stulginsky continued, that “many of the donations we saw last year were the result of some creative ideas by local businesses. We had a few companies request a toy as admission to their holiday parties or in exchange for a raffle or drink tickets. We hope others will follow suit this year.”

This year’s drop off locations include: Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation, Fintastic, Hilton Garden Inn Pi Kappa Phi, Regus-Ayrsley, and Wild Wing Café.

Fintastic has also agreed to offer 20% off any single item in exchange for a toy.

Locations outside of Ayrsley include Mac’s Speed Shop (Steele Creek and South Blvd), Scott Jaguar (Tyvola Rd), The Dorchester an Independent Retirement Community (Dorman Road, Pineville) and Carmel Place Independent Retirement Community (Carmel Rd).

The drive will conclude with an event featuring Natty Greene’s Brewery on December 14th at Mac‘s Speed Shop-South Blvd.  In addition to beer specials will be available for those that bring a toy to donate a portion of the proceeds will go to Toys for Tots.
