One Week Remains in Ayrsley’s Toys for Tot’s Toy Drive

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- With reports of overflowing boxes needing to be emptied from drop locations, The Ayrsley Toys for Tots toy drive enters its final week.

Initial Corporate pledges had been made by Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation, Concorde Construction, DeVry University, Fintastic, Hilton Garden Inn, Mac’s Speed Shop, New Forum, National Recovery Solutions, Scott Jaguar, Usurance Brokerage, and Wild Wing Café-Ayrsley.

Additional corporate pledges have been made by The Hoffman Insurance Agency and Carepoint Homecare Agency extending the total over 1500 dollars.

“We are very excited about what we have seen so far and continue to be excited to hear about more support,” said Chris Stulginsky, owner of Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation and drive coordinator.

Last year, donors surprised coordinators with their creativity, this year the creativity remains: “The managing partner of one company pledged to match the donations of the office staff but our biggest surprise this year comes from some of our temporary residents.”

A small group of occupants of The Homewood Suites, who travel from all over the country and call Ayrsley their home during the work week, have banded together to fill both the donation bin at their hotel and the bin at The Hilton Garden Inn across the street.

For those still interested in making a donation, this year’s drop off locations in Ayrsley include: Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation, Bucketts, Devry University Fintastic, Hilton Garden Inn, Pi Kappa Phi, Regus-Ayrsley, Strayer University and Wild Wing Café.

Locations outside of Ayrsley include Mac’s Speed Shop (Steele Creek and South Blvd), Scott Jaguar (Tyvola Rd), The Dorchester an Independent Retirement Community (Dorman Road, Pineville) and Carmel Place Independent Retirement Community (Carmel Rd).

The drive will conclude with an event featuring Natty Greene’s Brewery on December 14th at Mac‘s Speed Shop-South Blvd.  Beer specials will be available for those that bring a toy to and a portion of the proceeds will go to Toys for Tots.
