By: SLK Creative After a successful launch in December of 2010, Marc Silverstone, CEO of Equilibrium Events is taking this year’s soirée to the next level by including two over-the-top, live auction items: • Two round-trip airline tickets (to Nassau) courtesy of JetBlue and a three-night stay for two at the Atlantis in Paradise Island in the Royal Towers • One balcony cabin on the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas seven-night cruise in January sailing (Jan 29 - Feb 5) from Atlantis Events All proceeds from the live auction will directly benefit the participating charities. Silent auction items are plentiful – more than 20 items have been secured including a weekend at the Mondrian SoHo in New York with airfare provided by JetBlue, jewelry courtesy of Tiffany’s, Mayor’s, and David Yurman, a four-night stay at Breezes Resort and Spa in Jamaica, fine art courtesy of Las Olas Fine Arts, baskets of cheer from Absolut and Bacardi – just to name a few. All proceeds from the silent auction will directly benefit the The Broward House. Local businesses like Bill’s Filling Station, New Moon Bar, Rosie’s Bar and Grill and The Alibi will also be contributing to the festivities by decorating elaborate holiday wreaths that will be also be auctioned off. With this great assortment of auction items, the team is excited to draw in support from all kinds of people from the local community. “The idea is to have the community come out, share a night together, be grateful for what we have, and give to those less fortunate than ourselves,” explains Marc Silverstone, owner of Equilibrium Events and producer/designer of A Toy’s Story 2: A Night for Giving . “By involving so many varied charities, we hope to draw in support for each of these significant causes and collect unwrapped toys for the children in our community whose lives have unfortunately been touched by tragedy in one way or another.” A Toy’s Story 2: A Night for Giving will benefit charities including SunServe, Broward House, Kids in Distress, SMA, Pet Project, Kids in Distress Dental Program, Knock Out Cancer, and The Covenant House. The event will take place at The Manor in Wilton Manors, Florida on December 14th, 2011 from 7pm to 10pm.
