Feb. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Cooper v. East Coast Assemblers, Inc. (National Assemblers), et al., a lawsuit involving allegations of unpaid overtime wages and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), has been filed as a collective action in federal court in Florida. The Plaintiffs in this action, represented by Andrew Frisch of Morgan & Morgan, are Assemblers who claim that they did not receive proper overtime compensation for overtime hours worked.
Cooper v. East Coast Assemblers, Inc. (Case Number: 1:2012cv20501) was filed in the Southern District of Florida. The presiding judge is Judge Federico A. Moreno.

In this collective action lawsuit, the Assemblers allege that National Assemblers violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to properly compensation them for overtime hours.

Morgan and Morgan overtime attorney Andrew R. Frisch is representing the Assemblers in an effort to recover unpaid wages for the overtime work they performed, but for which they did not receive the proper overtime pay. According to a federal law known as the FLSA, non-exempt employees are entitled to time-and-a-half pay for all hours worked over forty in a given workweek.

"This is a situation where an unscrupulous employer refused to pay its employees the proper overtime compensation they rightfully earned each week, and we're fighting to help get them paid their rightful wages," says attorney Andrew R. Frisch.

All unpaid overtime claims filed by Assemblers who worked for National Assemblers within the last three (3)years and whom were not paid proper overtime are eligible to join the case. For more information about Cooper v. East Coast Assemblers, please contact us at (888) OVERTIME.
