New serigraph print celebrates the offseason at the beach

Eastern Shore of Maryland artist Erick Sahler depicts "simple pleasures" of a visit to the beach in limited-edition screen-printed artwork

March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- SALISBURY, Md. — “Offseason,” the fifth print in Erick Sahler Serigraphs' “My Hometown” series, is now available at Bishop's Stock Fine Art & Craft in Snow Hill, Md., the artist's studio and www.ErickSahler.com.

The 10-color, 12-x-16-inch print features a young boy playing with a retriever puppy on a wide-open beach under a cool gray sky. It was inspired by a Polaroid photograph taken of the artist in Ocean City in the spring of 1972.

“In contrast to the hustle and bustle of Ocean City in the summertime, this print is a reminder of the simple pleasures of a day at the beach,” Sahler said. “Next to my other prints, the colors are subdued with six shades of gray and blue creating the feel of the offseason."

There are 95 prints in the edition. Unframed prints are $65 and framed prints are $105.

Erick Sahler Serigraphs are printed by hand using archival, Earth-friendly inks on acid-free, cotton paper.

To purchase, go to www.ErickSahler.com or call 410-845-3774 to visit the print shop.
