May 9, 2012 - PRLog -- In The Mile Marker Murders, Saari combines his real-life experiences with his imagination to create a suspenseful, thriller/murder mystery. Caleb Williamson, a career officer with the CIA, disappears and then turns up dead alongside the corpses of two women near a northern Virginia highway. His best friend, FBI agent Tyler Bannister, who is focused on catching an extortionist who has threatened to unleash a biological poison if a multimillion dollar demand is not met, is quickly assigned to a task force to identify what looks to be a cunning serial killer.

The novel is fast-paced as the plot shifts between Atlanta and Washington, DC, taking the reader behind the scenes with the FBI and into Bannister’s life.

Before it was published, the book was a grand prize winner with the Public Safety Writers Association for best unpublished fiction. Saari first self-published the novel before turning to BQB Publishing in 2011 to have it professionally restructured, edited, and made available for national distribution.

About The Mile Marker Murders

When Caleb Williamson, a career officer with the CIA, disappears, officials are left wondering whether he is a spy who has defected or the victim of a crime. Meanwhile, Williamson’s friend, FBI agent Tyler Bannister, is focused on catching an extortionist who has threatened to unleash a biological poison if a multimillion dollar demand is not met.

When Williamson turns up dead alongside the corpses of two women near a northern Virginia highway, Bannister is assigned to a task force to identify what looks to be a cunning serial killer.

While Bannister becomes obsessed with finding the murder before he strikes again, a fourth body is discovered. The stakes become personal when the killer targets a beautiful woman at the FBI Academy who is Banister’s new love interest. To learn more about The Mile Marker Murders, click here.
