Talking the Talk on All About Business St Louis

May 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Six St. Louis speaking personalities weighed-in on what led them down their career paths on a special edition of All About Business St. Louis that aired on April 15, 2012. Guests ranged from Former St. Louis Ram and All-Pro Cornerback Aeneas Williams to Shep Hyken, an expert on building brand loyalty and customer service. These professional speakers are all locally based but have touched lives across the country.

Nationally recognized leader Ben Newman has a lifetime of experience in the financial industry. St. Louis Magazine recognized him as “Wealth Manager of the Year” in 2008 and 2009. Newman is also an author and professional speaker. Newman teaches individuals how to re-frame obstacles in their lives and how to move on through growth.

Tom Schweizer has been a personal coach for decades, but now delivers talks on leadership to 8th graders across the metro area. He developed a program not just for leaders who stand out, but one that includes all students who wish to participate. Schweizer provides opportunities for kids to have a fresh start, and he believes they are all great.

John O’Leary turned a childhood accident in which he was severally burned into emotional and spiritual empowerment. He works to pluck out the bad of yesterday and seek the good out of today.  Every time he speaks, people share with him why they came to see him and what they received. He helps people to stop making excuses and start taking action.

In 2008 Shep Hyken was inducted into the Professional Speaker Hall of Fame. He realized that motivation makes you feel good for a while, but in order to make a true impact he wanted to provide something that lasts.  Hyken is an expert in building relationships with employees and customers.  Hyken’s books have been featured on the New York Times BestSellers list.

Dr. Jason Selk is a sports psychologist who developed a plan for athletes to increase their mental toughness and win more often. He tested his plan and has the results to back it up. His plan was adapted to reach out to the masses.  In addition to being a clinician, Dr. Selk is an accomplished author and professional speaker.

Former St. Louis Ram Aeneas Williams has been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Williams strives to believe in people more than they believe in themselves. He said that is when they are able to achieve great things.

All professional speakers featured on the show use personal experiences to connect with their audiences to help them achieve their true potential.  By teaching others, they have each taught themselves to be better at what they do.  They have perfected an approach that helps people not just in business or sports, but also in life.
