All About Business St Louis Takes to Radio

May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- All About Business St. Louis, a documentary-style television show that features local businesses in the St. Louis area, is now airing a companion radio show on 550-AM KTRS.  The new radio show will air at 9 a.m. on Sundays in conjunction with the All About Business St. Louis show on KPLR-TV 11.

The first episode featured the show’s creator, Amanda Aschinger, and executive producer, Joshua Levey, who spoke about the show’s transition into radio broadcasts.

“When we met with KTRS about possibly launching a companion radio show, it just made sense,” Aschinger said.  “We see this as a real opportunity to be available to our audience when they are interested – and that means being online, in social media, on broadcast television, and now on the radio, as well.”

Together with radio show host, Elliot Gallion, Aschinger, and Levey discussed how the television show got started, the most recent episode on professional speakers, and future plans for the radio show.  

“We’re looking forward to adding some fun personality to the radio and television show that can run parallel and can cross promote one another,” Levey said.

Segments will include live guests, news stories, a behind-the-scenes look, and commentary on a current episode airing on television.

“I’m excited to have a supplement to the TV show. We’re able to talk about things not in the show that enriches the TV viewing experience,” Gallion said.

The episode aired on April 22 featured Harry Cohen, owner of Blue Skies Recycling.  He was live in the studio as the special Earth Day episode of All About Business St. Louis aired on KPLR-TV.
