Anup Jalota spellbind the Jaipur audience

Padmashree awarded Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota performed melodious devotional songs in a program "Ek Sham Ishwar ke Naam" orginzed by Dainik Bhaskar group on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Birla Auditorium Jaipur. Anup Jalota sung beautiful bhajans "Aisi laagi lagan", "Maiya Mori Main Nahin Makhan Khayo", "Jag mein sundar hain do nam", "Rang de chunariya", "Man mein Ram Tan mein Ram", Shyam teri bansi pukare Radha naam", "Jag mein sundar hain do naam" etc. He also included audience sing with him. He also paid a tribute to Ghazal Samrat Late Shri Jagjit Singh ji by singing lines of his Ghazals "Ye daulat bhi lelo" and "Hoton se choolo tum". Audience was fully delighted by listening devotional songs and singing with Anup Jalota. Anup Jalota kept engaged all the audiance by short stories and jokes throught the program.

Amit Chaubey on Tabla, Dheeren Raichura on Violin, Rohan Khatri on Santoor, Koyal Tripathi in singing, Anurodh Jain on side rhythm gave company to Anup Jalota. It was a mesmerizing evening for Jaipur audience to listen Bhanaj Samrat of India live.

Anup Jalota, son of Shri  Purushottam Das Jalota practiced Indian classical music since childhood with his father. He started his career as a chorus singer in All India Radio. Anup Jalota hails from the Sham Chowrasi Gharana of Punjab. He sings in 8 different languages. Anup Jalota received Padmashree award from the Government of India for his great work in field of Art - Indian Classical Music (Vocal). Anup Jalota plays many musical instruments i.e. Santoor, Dholak, Sarod, Sarangi, Violin, Sitar, Tabla and Guitar.

Anup Jalota also produced 2 Hindi films "Hum deewane pyar ke" and "Nishaan". It is in the news that 4 more films are under production. He is also producing a Bhojpuri Film. Also he has signed as an actor in film based on life of Satya Sai Baba. He is performing leading role of Satya Sai Baba in the film. The film will release shortly.
