James Beard Winner Shows How Food & Drinks Can Enhance “Fifty Shades of Grey” or Any Other Title

"Fifty Shades of Gray" is one of the most popular books around, finding its way into book groups across the country. But the pleasure doesn't need to stop with raunchy writing; find out how to enhance your reads even more with "A Reader's Cookbook."

Sept. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- In recent months, “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E L James, one of the most popular, controversial books this year, has found its way into many reading circles across the country. After spending double-digit weeks on top bestseller lists since its release in March and selling more than 30 million copies in the US, it’s not hard to see why book groups everywhere are picking up the sexually-charged title.

Like all books, the enjoyment of any given title can be greatly enhanced with food and drink that brings the scenes to life or provide depth to the particular era, region, or characters of that book. And there’s no better guide to pairing appetizers, snacks, drinks, desserts, and even full-on meals to book groups’ favorite titles than “A Reader’s Cookbook” by three-time James Beard award winner Judith Choate (http://www.redrockpress.com/delicious.html#readersCookbook).

This fantastic title includes full menus and more for authors and literary contexts from 17+ regions across the globe, making it east for even the amateur cook (or book group participant) to bring their enjoyment whatever they’re reading at the moment to a whole new level. For example, for “Fifty Shades of Grey,” one could try pairing an evening discussion of the raunchy writing with a round of Sex on the Beach cocktails, or perhaps Ambrosia cocktails (recipes for each are included below). A forbidden Chocolate Tart with Chocolate Ganache, Whipped Cream, and Raspberry Sauce could also help set the seductive mood.

But no matter what you are reading, be it raunchy or reserved, “A Reader’s Cookbook” has something for everyone. Plus, right now, Red Rock Press is running a sale on the book at more than 30% off, making this beautifully photographed and bound sensation an affordable $19.99. For readers of “Fifty Shade of Grey” who prefer the discretion of a Kindle, Nook iPad, or other eReader, “A Reader’s Cookbook” is also available as an eBook for just $7.98.
