Chapman Partnership names Mario Alvarez as chief operating officer

Jan. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- MIAMI, Fla. – Chapman Partnership announced the appointment of Mario Alvarez as chief operating officer for the nonprofit organization, which operates two homeless assistance centers with 800 beds in Miami-Dade County.

“Chapman Partnership is blessed to have Mario join us. He brings strong knowledge and expertise for our day-to-day operations. His outstanding leadership, organizational and people skills will enhance our mission of helping the homeless become empowered and self reliant,” Trish Bell, chairman of the board, said.  

Alvarez is responsible for operations and programs at Chapman Partnership, providing strategic direction and counsel for all decisions related to residents and facilities. He will have offices in both the North Center in downtown Miami and the South Center in Homestead.

During more than 20 years with the U.S. Army, Alvarez served in numerous leadership positions that include chief of operations, public affairs officer and most recently, chief of communications and outreach. He has a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University.
