Follow on Google News | L.A.T.E. Ride 2013 to Support Chicago ParksThe L.A.T.E. Ride is one of the biggest bicycling events in the country and the largest night ride in Chicago.
This unique bicycling experience is more than just a chance to get together with friends and ride around the city at night. Proceeds from the 2013 ride go to benefit the Friends of the Park, an organization whose events go to restoring, beautifying, and improving Chicago’s parks. Since 2013 marks the 25th anniversary of the L.A.T.E. Ride, this year’s ride will feature a new bike route to take in some of Chicago’s unique sights. Previous L.A.T.E Rides have started and ended at Buckingham Fountain, and participants can still make suggestions on neighborhoods or landmarks that they’d like included on this year’s route. Ride to support the Friends of the Park can register online for a fee starting at $25. Registration fee prices vary for volunteers, individuals, and groups. The registration fee for the 2013 L.A.T.E.
