Follow on Google News | Chicago Beer Festival Returns to Union Station This MarchThe third Chicago Beer Festival will range from local favorites to international award winners.
Already planning its third event in under a year of existence, the Chicago Beer Festival will be offering its biggest beer tasting experience yet with some big additions for this March. In October, the festival touted representatives from over 60 breweries giving out tastings of over 200 beer varieties, from India Pale Ales and ambers to heavy porters and lagers. In addition to the vast range of breweries in attendance at the spring and fall festivals last year, the Chicago Beer Festival team is already publicizing additions to their list, including Tommy Knocker, Tighthead, Pipeworks, New Chicago, Lake Effect, Kona, Great Lakes, Dark Horse, Church Street, Anderson Valley, Big Shoulders, and many more. In addition to all the breweries represented at the festival, attendees can expect to enjoy lessons and informational sessions about the process of brewing beer, the ingredients that go into different varieties, and more. The festival will also include plenty of local Chicago restaurants in attendance, so attendees of the festival can have a bite to eat while they take advantage of all the beer. While festival beer tastings are free, food is sold separately. Held at Chicago’s historic Union Station, the Chicago Beer Festival has been a popular event since its inaugural in March of last year. The October festival sold out, and organizers are saying that ticket sales have already surpassed last year’s numbers at this time.
