State of the Art Orthotics Lab Opens in Statesboro, GA

Feb. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- As of February 1st Statesboro, Georgia now has the area’s only high tech orthotic laboratory. Certified Pedorthist, Demon Thompson’s  main purpose in opening this lab is to give local physicians accessibility and a more hands on approach to their patient’s orthotics. By having a local lab allows for a faster turnaround time, better customer service, and a higher quality device.  One of the advantages  Arch Rivals offers is working directly with the practitioner to design a orthotic to correct their patient’s pathology. “When I receive an orthotic prescription, the practitioner can be confident that they will get exactly what they are asking for."

A Certified Pedorthist, Thompson specializes in the use of footwear and supportive devices to address conditions which affect the feet and lower limbs. Pedorthists are trained in the assessment of lower limb anatomy, biomechanics, and the appropriate use of corrective footwear - including shoes, orthotics, ankle braces,  foot orthoses and other such devices.

Arch Rivals is utilizing the most cutting edge technology available in the orthotics production industry. Technology once used to create parts for NASA is now being used in the health-care field to create devices of a quality that until recently was not possible.

Thompson is a member of the  American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management (AAPPM) and the Pedorthic Footcare Association (PFA). He lectures frequently on the subject of diabetic foot-care throughout the Georgia and South Carolina low-country.
