Ware Malcomb Designs Interior Offices for Gunderson Dettmer Law Offices

Feb. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Leading Design firm Ware Malcomb is proud to announce project completion for Gunderson Dettmer’s branch office. The business law firm’s newly designed office is located at Torrey Hills in San Diego, California. It is the client’s sixth branch office and their first location within the Southern California market.

Employing a subtle Southern California theme, the new office space features a reception area, multiple conference rooms, break rooms, and open and closed office areas. Using a variety of natural materials, Ware Malcomb created a clean, sophisticated appearance. Much of the interior walls and doors are composed of glass with stainless steel trimmings. The porcelain tiles and vinyl, cork-like flooring resembles sandy beaches. Collaboration zones are placed in the highest trafficked areas of the hallways providing a versatile workspace for staff to congregate.

The interior flow of the building infrastructure is unusually elongated with a slight arch-like curve. Located at the center is the main entrance and reception desk surrounded by conference rooms. This area, being centrally located, equally divides the space plan into two separate wings. Each wing is lined with offices on either side. With an abundance of southward facing windows, glass office fronts provide the in-boarded rooms with plenty of natural daylight.

“Working with a new interiors team using a pre-existing design paradigm could have been difficult, but it turned out to be a breeze,” shares Ms. Jennifer Goshorn, Chief Administrative Officer at Gunderson Dettmer.  “The project benefited by having the ‘Southern California’ vibe applied by the creative and innovative design team at Ware Malcomb.”
