Toyota Training Center Project Now Completed

AURORA, Ill. - Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- International Design firm, Ware Malcomb, is proud to announce design and construction have been completed for Toyota’s newest Training Facility located on Sequoia Drive in Aurora, Illinois.

Ware Malcomb Chicago provided architectural design services for the 15,000 square foot built-to-suit training center with 10,000 square feet of interior tenant improvements. The space consists of 5,000 square feet of office and classrooms, and 5,000 square feet of technical training service bays.  This project also includes design of a new parking lot.

"Built in quality" was a primary focus for Toyota. Sustainability-focused design guidelines that were incorporated include designated carpool parking, public transportation access, low flow water fixtures, optimized energy performance, Energy Star Rating, green power, building reuse, construction waste management, recycled content & regional materials, outside air delivery monitoring, IAQ management plan, low-emitting materials, and thermal comfort monitoring.

Ware Malcomb was the LEED Administrator for this project. It is currently registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and is expecting LEED Gold Certification.
