By: kimberly jessy companies, kimberly jessy bowles, Building your brand and business online takes a lot of work. Maintaining is another story. I have had the misfortune of a couple of scammer vindictive clients pass through my business. It happens to the best of us. I had one client steal clients, and try to use our company letter head to obtain an apartment to leave her live in boyfriend who refused to marry her. I had another that is a well known Los Angeles Hypnotherapist and media psychologist, try to scam our company, get all of our intellectual property for free then ask for a refund. When she lost, she went online and slammed our company. Here are some things you can do, to protect yourself from OLD BUZZARDS. Buzzards are birds that serve no purpose, they are their to stalk, and eat up the left overs of dead bodies and garbage. Sign a Non Disclosure Agreement with all clients. This is especially important when your teaching a high ticketed course or running a secret group. Sign a non compete agreement. This is so you can go back and handle them legally if they try to client steal. I had a client that was a completely dishonest that did not honor agreements, and when we fought her back, she cried bully while simultaneously stealing from us and publically bashing us. Tape record the conversations, you use it for training purposes and client ecaps, so you can lay off paper, that way if they blatently lie, you can post the recordings of the conversations. Get an Intellectual property lawyer, very important Make sure your blogging every day and sharing publically what is happening with your business. When people google you, they are going to see the bad ratings, make sure you have proof on your website that you addressed these issues Post video and written testimonials of clients that LOVED your services. Remember its maybe 3 of the clients from HELL and tons that LOVE you. Get them in on you. Not every one should be your clients, follow your gut and fire them if need be or change how you operate never allow them to have access to your clients via groups. If your running a group, let it be a group, not interactive ONE ON ONE assign an admin to answer questions and address issues. Make sure you have your cancellation policy and questions and answers and money back info on your site as well as privacy statements on your sites. Your company policies and procedures is key. That way they can't demand anything when they see your site info. Make sure you have on your site info for program policies when they want to use I DID NOT SIGN A CONTRACT, make sure there are clauses specifically for them in your company policies and procedures. Your only as good as your name. Like Tina Turner said, I worked too hard for the generic name of TINA TURNER from the Ike and Tina Turner review (it was a generic name Ike gave her, just in case she left, there will always be a TINA TURNER with or without ANNIE MAE BULLOCK) He wanted to solidify his brand. However In the end, Tina WON. Your name is what your known as, have back up against any internal or external enemies that try to damage your name. Face it folks, there are some jealous evil people out there, angry at your charm, fame, know all, and are there to sample and steal and test and take. Buzzards serve no purpose. Queen of the Pen and Hypno Doctors included. End
