The Legacy Preston Hollow Honors First Seder at Golden Acres

DALLAS - March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- In honor of The Legacy Senior Communities’ 60th anniversary this year, The Legacy Preston Hollow celebrated the first night of Passover by honoring the first Seder that took place at Golden Acres. A commemorative photo of some of Golden Acres’ first residents and staff adorned the display table at the front of the room. The Legacy dining room was filled with residents, their families, and guests who came together to partake in the lovely service led by Bruce Feldman.

“Passover at The Legacy at Preston Hollow is truly remarkable,” said Michael Ellentuck, president of The Legacy Senior Communities, Inc. “The staff and chefs put a lot of time into the food and the elaborate table settings. We were happy to have so many families and guests enjoy the meal with us.”

The service began with the customary candle lighting by resident Joyce Sallinger followed by traditional prayers and songs from the Haggadah, which tells the story of Passover. The beautifully set tables, which included the symbolic Seder plates, added to the enjoyment of the festive meal.

The Legacy Preston Hollow is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, faith-based senior living residence that offers a continuum of care allowing residents to stay in place with assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long term care.
