Follow on Google News | Conservancy of Southwest Florida Earns "Family Friendly" Workplace CertificationIt’s official! Conservancy of Southwest Florida has earned Family Friendly Workplace certification for 15 years in a row. Each year the Naples Alliance for Children searches for businesses of all sizes that love families and show it.
“The designation recognizes employers who mix traditional and innovative ways to help employees balance the needs of their families with the demands of their jobs,” said NAFC President, Myra Shapiro. Conservancy of Southwest Florida human resource policies are a great example and earned NAFC’s 2013 Family Friendly Workplace designation. Businesses who receive this honor have met the NAFC Family Friendly Workplace criteria. Conservancy President Andrew McElwaine said, “It is an honor to receive this “Family Friendly” certification once again. Our employees are our most valuable asset to protect our water, land and wildlife, so we are happy to offer an balanced environment where employees can do their best work.” About the Conservancy of Southwest Florida: The Conservancy of Southwest Florida began in 1964 when community leaders came together to defeat a proposed “Road to Nowhere” and spearheaded the acquisition and protection of Rookery Bay. The Conservancy is a not-for-profit grassroots organization focused on the critical environmental issues of the Southwest Florida region --- water, land and wildlife. This is accomplished through the combined efforts of environmental education, science, policy and wildlife rehabilitation. The von Arx Wildlife Hospital at Conservancy of Southwest Florida treats more than 3,300 injured, sick and orphaned animals each year and releases about half back into their native habitats.
