The 2014 Odyssey will come powered by a 3.5L i-VTEC V6 engine that produces 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. One of the key additions to this Honda model is a standard six-speed automatic transmission on all trims, which replaces the previous five-speed automatic and puts the Odyssey at the top of its class when it comes to fuel economy, achieving 19 city mpg and 28 highway mpg.

For the first time, new Odyssey models will come equipped with standard Bluetooth HandsFreeLink connectivity, four-way power passenger seat, Pandora interface, rearview camera, and text messaging. The LX, EX, and EX-L trim options will offer a single-angle display on the rearview camera, while the EX-L Navi, Touring, and Touring Elite have a multi-angle view.

Inside the 2014 Odyssey Touring Elite is the HondaVac, which is the first minivan in-vehicle vacuum cleaner system, designed to assist in keeping the interior clean. It runs on the Odyssey’s 12-volt electrical system. The HondaVac features an extendable hose, two separate head attachments, a removable debris canister, and replaceable filter bag. It can operate on the Accessory setting for up to eight minutes and will run continuously while the vehicle is turned on.

With the next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, this Honda minivan is expected to be the first minivan to earn a Top Safety Pick+ safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. New safety features include Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning.

Northwest Indiana Honda drivers interested in learning more about the 2014 Honda Odyssey or wishing to take this new minivan out for a test drive once it reaches Bosak Honda are encouraged to stop by their Highland, Indiana Honda dealership or contact them at 800-959-4660.
