80 Puppy Mill Dogs Rescued In Honor Of Lola, A Special Little Dog

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- After Lola passed away, one of her loyal fans suggested that National Mill Dog Rescue arrange a rescue mission in her honor and donated $2,000 to the cause. From July 11-13, 2013, the NMDR team rescued 80 dogs from puppy mills in Kansas and Missouri. The dogs were brought to the NMDR kennels, located in Colorado Springs, where they will receive necessary medical care and are being evaluated for fostering and adoption. Many of the dogs are enjoying human companionship and the ability to walk on green grass and sleep in soft, warm beds for the first time in their lives.

Puppy mill dogs usually spend their lives confined to small, wire cages and do not have the opportunity to run and play. Many never see sunshine or the outdoors and are not given the opportunity to experience love and companionship.

National Mill Dog Rescue changes the lives of these dogs and gives them the chance to bring joy and purpose to the lives of their new human companions.
