July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Continuing its tradition of innovation and performance benchmarks, the 2014 Ram Heavy Duty pickup series has risen above the competition. Jackson Dodge in Medicine Hat (http://www.jacksondodge.ca/about-us/) has announced that the new Ram 2500 and 3500 models will feature a variety of new equipment capable of best-in-class performance, including an all-new 6.4L HEMI engine, advanced suspension systems, and an available cargo view camera, delivering the capacity and convenience truck owners need.

Setting a new standard for horsepower and torque ratings, the available 6.4L HEMI V8 is poised to take on any job. Featuring variable valve timing and a Fuel Saver cylinder deactivation system, this motor produces 410 hp at 5,600 rpm in addition to cranking out 429 lb-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. For workers who prefer a diesel engine, the 6.7 Cummins Turbo Diesel generates 385 hp and a best-in-class 850 lb-ft. of torque. Whatever a driver's preferences are, the range of Ram engines provides the power that heavy-duty jobs require.

Fans of the Ram 2500 (http://www.jacksondodge.ca/new-inventory/2500-2/) will appreciate the new advanced rear air suspension system with load-leveling technology. It is designed to measure the load on the suspension and automatically increases the air pressure in the system until the truck bed reaches normal height. The new suspension provides cargo stability, a smoother ride, and when properly equipped, a tow rating of 8,078 kg with the 3/4 ton model.

The 2500 pickup also offers a gooseneck or fifth wheel system by providing a centre-positioned ball in the cargo bed. It is one of the most complete hitch-n-go towing prep packages available in the heavy-duty segment. There's also a cargo view camera mounted on the back of the cabin to monitor loads or gooseneck trailers out on the road or while backing up at a job site.

The Ram 3500 will continue to rely on the Hotchkiss leaf spring system in the rear, but with an available addition: a supplement air suspension system for specific setups. This supplemental system will automatically fill rear bags supporting the leaf springs to improve ride quality and stability, especially when high-load capacities are detected. With a wide range of strapping engines, the Ram 3500 is able to tow up to 16,608 kg.

Production on the 2014 Ram Heavy Duty lineup is slated to begin in the third quarter of this year. To learn more about the best-in-class performance features of the new 2500 or 3500 pickups or to see any of the currently available 2013 models, those interested can visit Jackson Dodge (http://www.jacksondodge.ca/contact-us/) at 1500 Strachan Road in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
