The Dodge Caravan Kids Program Celebrates Seven Years of Supporting Canadian Hockey Families

Teams that are eligible for the assistance provided by Dodge Caravan Kids will receive funds to help offset the cost of tournaments, equipment, jerseys, and other associated expenses.

Currently more than 8,000 teams/120,000 players across Canada have benefitted from the Dodge Caravan Kids program. The financial commitment of participating in amateur hockey can be quite expensive for many families, and this program helps to keep the costs more affordable, allowing many young hockey players who may not have had the chance to participate before to be a part of a community hockey team.

In addition to signing up for sponsorship, teams and individual players have the opportunity to enter a variety of contests as well. As part of the Dodge Caravan Kids Team Photo Contest, youth hockey organizations can submit a fun picture of their team that also incorporates a Dodge Grand Caravan, a local Dodge dealership, or a creative way to thank the automaker. Five winners will be chosen to receive additional funding.

One entrant will be chosen in the Dodge Caravan Kids “Score and Win” contest, and they will be awarded $5,000 for their hockey association as well as a brand-new 2014 Dodge Caravan (http://www.grovedodgechrysler.com/2014-dodge-grand-carava...). The Dodge Family All Stars program, which made its debut last season, will also be returning for 2014. This initiative partners with the CHL to thank billet families that take aspiring hockey players into their homes. These billet families can send in their stories for a chance to win one of three available trips to the 2014 Memorial Cup. In addition, they will also be honored at the CHL awards and invited onto the ice at a CHL game. Here they will find out if they have won a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan.
