Follow on Google News | Idaho Sculptor Returns To Premier Art Event In Scottsdale ArizonaKen Newman, a wood and bronze sculptor based in Cambridge, Idaho returns to Scottsdale for his 12th season at the 24th annual Celebration of Fine Art. Scottsdale, Arizona is where visitors from around the globe gather to admire and acquire art.
"As a veteran of the show, working and selling at this venue seven days a week can be extremely challenging, but it has been an integral part of my artistic journey. It has allowed me to grow as an artist - among a community of artists, who enjoy engaging art lovers and collectors in shared conversations. Since my sculptures are narrative, the connections made in Scottsdale have contributed not only to my success as a sculptor but to my life," says Ken Newman. “We are privileged to have Ken Newman participating with us again at the 2014 Celebration of Fine Art. Ken's wood and bronze sculptures are museum quality and his unique sculptures bring a thought provoking dimension to our show,” says Susan Morrow Potje, Show Director. Ken Newman's sculptures are currently on exhibit at Performance in Sculpture, produced by the National Sculpture Society at the David A. Straz Performing Arts Center in Tampa FL; the 100th Allied Artists of America exhibition at the National Art Gallery in NYC; and at The Wildlife Experience in Parker CO. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said it best when he wrote “A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.” With 100 artists to choose from, there is no better way to fulfill one's daily requirement of artistic beauty then to take a stroll through the Celebration of Fine Art in search of artwork that will inspire for years to come. Seasoned art collectors and first-time buyers alike find the atmosphere both casual and comfortable. All mediums and genres are juried into this event. Artists are working continuously within their studios alongside thoughtfully created galleries that not only invite conversation, but encourage visitors to return again and again. And certainly, with more than 40,000 sq ft of space, season pass tickets, and new works of art emerging frequently during the 10 week event, there is ample opportunity to admire and acquire a work of art. Open to guests of all ages from 10 am to 6 pm daily, the Celebration of Fine Art can be found in the white tents surrounding an acre-large landscaped sculpture garden and cafe at the southwest corner of Hayden Rd and the Loop 101 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
