Advanced TeleHealth Solutions receives chronic care certifications to help patients avoid hospital

ST. LOUIS - Oct. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- SPRINGFIELD, Missouri—Oct. 15, 2013— Advanced TeleHealth Solutions, a telehealth services provider, today announced that three employees have been certified as Chronic Care Specialists.

“The certifications will help Advanced Telehealth Solutions improve the quality of their patients’ care and reduce the number of patients who are readmitted to the hospital,” said Karen Thomas, President of Advanced TeleHealth Solutions. The certification also will allow the company to hold classes, educate and test other clinicians in the areas of chronic care management.

Tresa Marlow, Director of Telehealth, Rachel Choate, Assistant Director of Telehealth, and Anna Oldham, RN, were certified through the Sutter Health/Sutter Center for Integrated Care. The Sutter Center for Integrated Care prepares health care professionals to work with patients collaboratively to improve patients’ understanding of their illnesses, improve their care and lower health care costs.

The certification has been endorsed by the NationalAssociation for Home Care and Hospice.
