Trapeze Powers Worcestershire ETM Based Real-Time Project

Oct. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Worcestershire County Council has contracted Trapeze Group to provide its NOVUS RT real-time information system as part of the Worcestershire Central Real Time Information System (RTIS) project. The council is to become only the third local authority in the UK to implement a real-time system without specific in-vehicle hardware, as the system takes data entirely from on-board Electronic Ticket Machines (ETMs). With no specific hardware required and all data hosted by Trapeze, NOVUS RT is an affordable, browser-based system, which is simple to install and implement.

Worcestershire County Council has worked with Trapeze for over eight years, using the fixed route scheduling system Routewise. Matt Stone, Systems Development Officer at Worcestershire County Council, said, “We have a very good working relationship with Trapeze, and that’s one of the reasons we have a number of Trapeze products. The real-time solution Trapeze offered met all the requirements in the specification and gave the council the best value.”
