Trapeze Supports Traveline Cymru’s Launch of Fare Finder Service

Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Trapeze has supported Traveline Cymru with the launch of a new fare finder service enabling public transport users to access rail and bus fares from a range of operators. The service is delivered through Traveline Cymru’s dedicated bilingual call centre and website, and shortly its iPhone and Android Apps.

As the provider of Traveline Cymru’s website, iPhone and Android Apps, and underlying Journey Planning engine, Trapeze has been integral to this process, enabling the addition of fares for Welsh bus trips to the existing Journey Planning service. This started with providing the tools and support by which Traveline Cymru could input, manage and validate fares data, and then present it correctly with journey results on web and mobile.

Traveline Cymru Marketing Manager Jo Foxall said: “Traveline Cymru were grateful for the support provided by Trapeze to deliver the fares project on the website and in particular for the work done to ensure that a version of the app including fares was available to demonstrate at the launch of the Traveline Cymru App for Android phones. Traveline Cymru were also pleased to welcome Damian Bown from Trapeze to the launch to demonstrate the App to guests including local authorities and bus operators.”
