With over 117 volunteers - young, accomplished, successful men came together for a half-day to mentor, encourage and support these young men in various sessions from developing positive self identity, processing emotions to financial literacy, art therapy and math and music correlations. Along with eating a hearty lunch together, each young man received a certificate of completion and learned how to tie a Double Windsor Knot tie, courtesy of Final Frame Ties the brainchild of the Founder of TheBlackManCan, Brandon Frame. Frame is a notable author, scholar, educator and newsmaker who was named one of Hartford’s “40 Under 40” as the Director of Business Partnerships at High School Inc, he has always felt compelled to give-back, something instilled in him while attending the prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta. Brandon shares, “I want TheBlackManCan Institute to touch the lives of boys and men around the world.
