Irish Music School Opens in Ennis

ENNIS, Ireland - Jan. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Great Excitement at Teach Abhaile this week as we launched Ceol @ Teach Abhaile

The home of Traditional Music. At 4pm, Wednesday January 23 rd we opened our music school to the public at “Teach Abhaile”.

This was facilitated by Paula O Regan who is an accomplished fiddle player and music teacher and multi instrumentalist. Paula was joined by Connie Gavin Hannon, our local singer-song writer and Traditional Irish Musician.

Next week we will have an introduction to musical instruments and singing styles.

Paula and Connie are very passionate and active Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance promoters. They are active Comhaltas members. Their aim is to teach children and encourage them to enter the “Fleadh” and various other competitions,increasing a child’s confidence and self esteem.

If you missed the launch, why not come along next week to the “Intro to Musical Instruments” on Wednesday at 4pm. We are located at  ”Teach Abhaile”. You will have the opportunity to try an accordion, a fiddle, a mandolin, a tin whistle, a banjo, a mouth organ, a concert flute, a guitar, a concertina,and lots more.

Connie and Paula are passionate about their music. Next Wednesday ,children will have a chance to meet other Clare based accomplished musicians and hear about their love of music.
