Follow on Google News | National Youth Workforce Program, Career Exploration Series, Launches with a Contest#WhereInTheUSContest allows public to guess where the first Career Exploration Series program will be held, win a career makeover
According to the Bureau of Labor Standards’ Current Population Survey, 3.8 million, or 16.3% of America’s youth (ages 16 through 24) were unemployed during July 2013. With summer being the most popular timeframe for young adults to seek jobs, skills such as interviewing, attire, managing money, and workplace expectations can help youth positively stand out from the competition, and help them gain employment opportunities. The Career Exploration Series™, affectionately known as Career Day on Steroids, covers these topics and more. To spark interest in the program launch among youth and parents alike, the Career Exploration Series™ has announced a contest that allows the public to guess the city and state where the first program will be held in the United States. The winner will receive a free career makeover, including a career coaching session, resume review, CES t-shirt, and the Career Planning Guide and Action Plan (Youth Edition) – a $500 value. “Now, more than ever, it is critical for young people to be prepared for internships and jobs. With a changing market, including a greater demand for technical skills, equipping students with practical and realistic career information is paramount to their success,” opines Kesi Stribling. Adults, ages 18 and older, can enter the Career Exploration Series™ contest through February 28, 2014 on the Career Connect USA website (www.ksgsc.com/ For more information about the Career Exploration Series, learn more about partnership or sponsorship opportunities, or to request it at your school, visit www.ksgsc.com/ CONTACT: CESProgram@ksgsc.com or (202) 904-1380 End
